Lab-grown diamonds are created using one of two methods: chemical vapor deposition (CVD) or high-pressure high temperature (HPHT). Both methods produce diamonds that are chemically, physically, and optically identical to natural diamonds. The resulting lab-grown diamonds are more affordable, eco-friendly, and ethically responsible than mined diamonds. They are also available in various colors and can be created in a laboratory in a matter of weeks, as compared to the millions of years required for natural diamonds to form. Diamond Chemistry, as a part of its commitment to upholding ethical, sustainable, and responsible business methods carefully curates its list of suppliers. Keeping in line with our brand's values they undergo audits and certifications from international organizations like the Responsible Jewelry Council. Each item is also third-party certified, ensuring the authenticity and quality of the diamonds.
No, Ethically sourced diamonds due to many aspects, such as size and environmentally friendly production processes, are 50-60% more affordable than diamonds that are mined. A diamond's price may vary depending on a number of variables, including its carat weight, cut, color, and clarity as well as the supply and demand for diamonds.
Recycled gold and platinum refer to gold and platinum that have been used before and then melted, refined, and reused again. It helps to reduce the demand for new mining, which can have negative environmental impacts, and it also conserves resources. The quality of recycled gold and platinum is not impacted by the fact that it has been recycled, as it is refined for purity. Gold purity is determined by its karat weight or percentage of pure metal, and this remains the same whether the metal is new or recycled.
The Kimberly Process Certification Scheme was established in 2006 to prevent the trade of conflict diamonds mined from the earth. Practices like over-mining, exploitation of child labor, violence, civil conflict, human rights violations, or environmental destruction are causes of concern. However, in the case of lab-grown diamonds that are grown above ground, none of these practices prevail.
We at Diamond Chemistry exclusively purchase polished diamonds from certified and reliable diamond industry professionals. Our diamonds are certified by internationally acclaimed accreditation labs like IGI (International Gemological Institute). With every purchase, you will receive a certificate of authenticity as proof.
